The Grand Pier and Revo Kitchen & Terrace in Weston-super-Mare, Somerset donated £500 to two mental health charities after a coffee and walnut cake in memory of Jill Dando.

The money will go to support the brilliant mental health charities In Charley’s Memory and Wellspring Counselling in Jill’s hometown of Weston-super-Mare and across Somerset.

The Grand Pier and Revo Kitchen & Terrace previously generously pledged to donate £2 from every cake sold throughout the week to honor Jill’s legacy.

People had been remembering the extraordinary person, life and fast-expanding global good news legacy of Jill Dando with a 7-days charity tea and cake marathon – 25 years on since she died back in April.

Jill showed positivity, enthusiasm, authenticity, humility, kindness, empathy and ambition to become the ‘smiling face of Britain’, rising to the very top of the BBC before being killed on 26th April 1999.

Alex Michael, Managing Director of AGM Holdings, said: “We are proud to have contributed to this meaningful cause of mental health in honour of Jill Dando’s legacy.

“We hope our donation will make a lasting impact on the lives of those in need.”
